Why Do People Cheat?

There are a few reasons why people cheat on each other. Maybe you are having problems in your relationship. Or maybe something is missing. There's no more passion. You're partner is feeling lonely, and maybe they have found another person that is going to treat them better.

Simply put, people that are unhappy in their relationship tend to look for love and affection somewhere else.

Another reason your partner may be cheating, is that they want more "variety" in their sex life. They become bored with their partner. When they meet someone else, they feel the initial excitement of a new relationship all over again.

Cheating can also be seen as a form of independent behavior. It's the thrill of doing what you want, when you want. I, personally think that cheating is actually a form of dependent behavior. I say this because a cheater is not strong enough to leave their significant other in order to form a relationship with the new person.

Also, forgiving someone who cheated, may cause them to lose respect for you, and drive them to continue fooling around. This is because, by letting go of what they have done, they've been led to believe  that it's okay to just keep cheating, because your just going to forgive them for it again.

I don't understand why people don't just leave their partner when they feel the urge to cheat. Temptation is a natural thing, though it could also be a sign that your relationship is losing it's fire.
