Letting Go

It is a well known fact that relationships can end at any time, for any number of reasons. Understandably, most people have a difficult time letting go of their former partners, especially if they had been together for a long  time. Letting go is a vital part of moving on with your life after going through a breakup. If you are not able to let go this could lead to problems in any potential relationships in your future.

Of course, this is much easier said than done. Here are a few tips to help moving on a little less difficult.

The first thing you should do is get some alone time. You need your space. Space is vital for someone who is getting over a difficult breakup. You may be tempted to remain friends with your ex, but doing this can make moving on virtually impossible. Both you and your ex need time to figure out what went wrong, and let it all go.

Next, it is very important to grieve your lost relationship. If you do not do this, you are not fully allowing yourself to accept the fact that your relationship has ended. Give yourself time to deal with the number of emotions you are feeling after the breakup.

However, you can't grieve over your relationship forever. Eventually, you have to come to terms with the fact that your ex is no longer a part of your life.

Once you have sufficiently grieved the loss of your relationship, it's time for you to figure out where it went wrong. If you do not know what happened, you may find yourself constantly wondering and obsessing about what you could have done differently.

Whether the problem was with you or with your ex doesn't really matter. Remember that it takes two people to keep a relationship, just as it takes two people to make a relationship fail. Do not put all of the blame on yourself or your former partner. You have to just come to terms that your relationship may just not have been meant to work out.

Finally, we all learn from our mistakes. Take what you have learned about the failure of your last relationship, and apply it to yourself. All relationships are learning experiences. They help you learn and grow towards a better future.

Is a Rebound the Best Way to Get Over a Breakup?

Remember, that not everyone is lucky enough to stay with their first love forever. Break ups are difficult experiences and no two people deal with it the same way. But is a rebound the best way to help you cope? Absolutely not.Rebounds tend to cause more harm then good when dealing. So how do you get over that person, and deal with a break up in a healthy way? The list of ways to do this is endless.

When first breaking up with someone, it puts you in a temporary state of depression. there are a million different emotions going on in your head. You feel hopeless and rejected, and sometimes find it difficult to even crawl out of bed in the morning. You need to grieve for your lost relationship, just as if you were grieving the loss of a loved one.

Many people blame themselves for their breakups, even if it wasn't their fault. Others simply surround themselves with loved ones, which is the best possible thing that you can do. The worst thing that you can do is go chasing after another relationship. Give yourself to deal and concentrate on yourself for a while, and in time, another will come your way.

People usually jump into rebound relationships in order to get back at their ex. What they don't realize is, the other person has probably already moved on. The only thing you are succeeding in doing is hurting the person that you are rebounding with. What does that accomplish?

Is it really worth hurting another person just to anger an ex?  Is it really worth it getting over someone at the expense of anothers feelings? There are plenty of other ways to get over a break up than causing someone else pain.

Tips for Moving on After a Break- Up

Breaking up is always a difficult to deal with. It leaves you in a state of depression that feels like it's never going to end. Moving on after a break up is never an easy thing to do, and there is no acceptable amount of time to do so. After going through a bad break up, you have to pick yourself, dust yourself off, and continue moving forward with your life.

Bad break ups can leave you feeling emotionally crippled, and may leave you feeling completely useless for some time. You have no motivation. No desire to do things that you normally would love to do. However, this time will pass and you need to get yourself back into the swing of things. The only thing that you can do to move on after a break up, is to learn from the mistakes that you have made. Some things are more difficult to learn than others, but in they end they help us on our search for the perfect partner.

If you are able to pinpoint exactly what it was that went wrong, and why, then you will be able to take care of yourself better in any new relationship. It's critical to remove all of the negativity from your mind once you have healed from your previous relationship. Remember all of the positive things, and find ways to improve the next time around.

One of the most important things to remember when going through a break up, is that it's better that it happened now instead of further along down the road. Your heart may be broken, but you should take it as a lesson learned.

When you have had your heart broken, it may seem that you have no reason to even wake up in the morning. You need to get yourself out of that kind of mindset as soon as possible. After a break up, you can not continue to wallow in your own self pity. You have to learn to forgive, forget and continue moving forward in your life.

Any break up is bad, because your belief system has been shattered, and you have taken a massive blow to your self- esteem. Some break ups, however, can be worse than others, and could possibly destroy a person.

Moving on with your life is the only thing that can make you feel better about your breakup. Try to find the brighter side of what has happened, and be grateful that you are free from that relationship. Moving on may be the last thing that you want to do, but it truly is the very best thing for you. Always remember that time will heal all wounds.

In order to move on you will have to get yourself back into the world. Throw yourself back into the social situations that you had been avoiding since your breakup. Do not avoid your favorite places just because you might run into your ex. You shouldn't have to give up on things that you love to do just because of a crappy breakup.

It's time to just let go, hold your head up high, and know that this was the best thing for both of you. You weren't deserving of this bad break up, and you shouldn't let it control and ruin your life. Know that you are better than that. Things always have a funny way of getting better, even if you can't see that this very second.

Rebuilding Lost Trust : Apologizing

When trying to regain your partners trust, it is vital to know how to offer the right kind of apology at the right time. Sadly, not many people know how to do this.

Most of the time, people make the unfortunate mistake of apologizing too soon. If you apologize too quickly, you can come off as being insincere. It makes it seem like you are only saying your sorry to make your partner happy. It doesn't seem like the thoughtful, meaningful gesture that an apology should be.

The best time to apologize, is after you have given your situation a lot of thought and consideration. It's better to do so after you have aknowledged and taken the time to understand your partners hurt and confusion.

It's also critical to offer the right kind of apology. Quite often, people tend to offer an apology, but try to justify their actions with excuses. If you try to offer an excuse or an explanation without being asked for one, it can take away from the purpose of the apology itself.

Apologizing in the right way at the right time can lead to forgiveness, less punishment and more. So just remember, do not try to offer any explanations for your actions unless you are asked for them, and take the time to be understanding of your partners feelings before you go ahead and apologize to them

Rebuilding Lost Trust : Understanding

Losing trust in a relationship is a very difficult experience. If your partner does something that makes you not trust them, you can be plagued with feelings of anger, hurt and sadness. It's very important that your partner understands the emotions that you are feeling, because it can help you move forward and get rid of any negative feelings.

However, if your partner is not willing to try to understand, the person who was hurt in the first place tends to want to get even. To try and make the other person feel as awful as they are. When someone doesn't understand your hurt and pain, it's human nature to want them to hurt as well.

A lot of the time, if someone is accused of doing something wrong, they tend to want to apologize, make up excuses, or want to attack the person who is attacking them. In the long run, these things never work, because they fail to help create any real form of understanding.

If you are trying to rebuild trust, it is very important to see things from the other persons point of view. Do your best to understand how they are feeling.  You have to learn to agree that their feelings are legit and fair. Let them know that you get why they are feeling that way. If you are able to do this, then it will be that much easier to regain their trust.

If you are able to make the effort to understand their feelings, than you have a better chance of them calming down, and eventually forgiving you. If you do not make that effort however, regaining their trust will be all but impossible to do.

How to Maintain a Healthy Relationship

Everyone expects the same thing from their significant other. We want someone who is going to be understanding of us. Someone that's appreciative of everything that we do for them. A person who is kind, caring, respectful and trustworthy. Relationships are very difficult to maintain when they are filled with conflict, mistrust, and negativity.

So how does one maintain a healthy relationship?

Relationships work out better if you take the time to really get to know one another. Rushing your relationship into something that it isn't ready to be can ultimately lead to disaster. It's also good to be supportive and encouraging of your partner. Not doing this could possibly lead to many misunderstandings and uncertainty in your relationship.

Keeping an upbeat and positive outlook on your relationship is also good. Displays of happiness and affection go a long way when trying to keep a relationship going. Relationships have a tendency of failing when there is anger and negativity involved. In fact, even just a little bit of negativity can create quite a few problems in an otherwise happy relationship.

When you and your partner do have issues however, it's always better to take them on together. You and your partner will feel closer if you take on your problems and difficulties as a team. Solving the problem as a couple instead of against each other will help to ensure a happier relationship in the long run.

When you've been together for a while, couples tend to take each other for granted. When you first get together, you appreciate everything your partner does for you. However, as time goes on, you begin to expect more from your significant other. To maintain a happy, healthy relationship, it is important to let your partner know that you appreciate them on a regular basis.

It's true that couples that have a lot of things in common tend to have a better relationship. However, you must learn to accept and appreciate the differences that you have as well. It's better to love someone for who they are, instead of trying to change them into what you would like them to be.

You also have to be able to talk open and freely with your partner. Communication is a very important thing in a relationship. Talking about what's going on in your lives and expressing how you feel about issues is vital. However, being open with your lover is not always an easy thing to do. Communication can be difficult because you and your partner are required to listen to and understand what the other is saying. Listening to them without being judgemental or critical of what they are saying is a very important part of maintaining a relationship.

Finally, expressing your commitment to each other is also very important. There is absolutely nothing wrong with letting your partner know that you love them. Always be sure to let them know how much they mean to you, and that no matter what, you're always going to be there.

Why Do People Cheat?

There are a few reasons why people cheat on each other. Maybe you are having problems in your relationship. Or maybe something is missing. There's no more passion. You're partner is feeling lonely, and maybe they have found another person that is going to treat them better.

Simply put, people that are unhappy in their relationship tend to look for love and affection somewhere else.

Another reason your partner may be cheating, is that they want more "variety" in their sex life. They become bored with their partner. When they meet someone else, they feel the initial excitement of a new relationship all over again.

Cheating can also be seen as a form of independent behavior. It's the thrill of doing what you want, when you want. I, personally think that cheating is actually a form of dependent behavior. I say this because a cheater is not strong enough to leave their significant other in order to form a relationship with the new person.

Also, forgiving someone who cheated, may cause them to lose respect for you, and drive them to continue fooling around. This is because, by letting go of what they have done, they've been led to believe  that it's okay to just keep cheating, because your just going to forgive them for it again.

I don't understand why people don't just leave their partner when they feel the urge to cheat. Temptation is a natural thing, though it could also be a sign that your relationship is losing it's fire.
